Have you ever thought about your relationship with money?  How you feel and think about money?  Do you feel that there is never enough, or do you feel that you will always be provided for?

What if I told you that if you continue to live in fear that you will never have enough money, that basically you won’t?  Would you believe me?

Money is a loaded, supercharged topic that brings in so many emotions around it.  But if we are letting negative emotions around money control our thoughts and feelings, then we would actually be attracting those problems.

We often hear of the Law of Attraction: you attract what you are putting out in the world. Well, the rules are no different around money.

It takes the same amount of effort to attract abundance as it does scarcity.

If you have a negative relationship around money, believing that there is never enough and you want to keep it all for yourself, you might want to revisit that relationship.

If you keep thinking that there will never be enough, there won’t be.  But if you think that money will always be readily available to you, then it will be

Each thought requires the same amount of energy, but brings different results.

There is nothing wrong with thinking in abundance or in wanting more money.  Maybe you’ve been told it’s selfish to want more money…. I’m here to tell you that it’s not.

But you do need to be smart with your money while you practice attracting more of it.

When you take care of your money, your money will take care of you.

Here are some tips on how to create a more abundant life:

1. Appreciate what you have

When you practice gratitude, you’ll be focused on appreciating what you have instead of feeling like you never have enough.

Practising gratitude shifts your mindset to a more positive space of appreciation and recognition of your existing wealth.

2. Donate and give

Live by the mantra of what comes around, goes around.  When you share the wealth when you have it, and give from a place of love, then the times when you need it, it will likely come back to you.

3. Be generous and kind with family and friends

You can’t change other’s attitudes about money, but you can control your own attitude around money.

If you believe that money will always be scarce, and you hoard it and keep it to yourself, you miss out on creating a flow of money that comes in to you easily and you send it out into the world with good intentions.

Spread the money as an act of love, treat your loved ones once in a while.

4. Respect your money

When you treat your money carefully, invest + save, and stop overspending, you will have money in abundance.  When you take care of your things, and show respect for them, it will serve you best.

You are putting your message out in the world that you are worth care and respect.

I have a friend who one day I witnessed throwing the trash from her car out into the parking lot and leaving it there for someone else to pick up.

I immediately called her out on it.  I pointed out that she always complains to me how the world never does her any favours, and after witnessing that behaviour, I was not at all surprised.  I didn’t hold back.  I shared with her my thoughts about her actions.  She thought about it and understood what I was saying.

The bottom line is, if you are respecting your money and living a life of gratitude, the ability to create abundance in your life will surface.

I do believe in the law of attraction, but I also believe you have to work for your money, work smart for it, and make a plan for it.

The best thing you can do for your money is to respect it by not putting yourself in debt, and investing the money that you DO have so that your money start working for you.
